Job Title: Employment Transition Coach

At Lifetime Assistance Inc., we are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Employment Transition Coach to join our team. As an Employment Transition Coach, you will play a vital role in preparing individuals for competitive employment, identifying job opportunities, and providing onsite follow-up to ensure successful job placements.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and coordinate assessments and training opportunities to prepare individuals for employment.
  2. Conduct program intakes for ACCES-VR referrals and complete necessary documentation.
  3. Identify and liaise with potential employers to market supported employment services and assess work environments to ensure appropriate job matches.
  4. Maintain familiarity with the ACCES-VR contract and work with agency and department staff to ensure contract requirements are met.
  5. Assist individuals in developing job behaviors, work habits, and relationships with employers, supervisors, and coworkers.
  6. Assist with job interviews, resumes, applications, and the job development process.
  7. Develop and implement Service Plans at Intake and review and update them semi-annually, annually, and as requested.
  8. Serve as a positive role model and interact with others in a way that promotes positive behaviors and interactions.
  9. Conduct case reviews and team meetings as needed.
  10. Maintain records in an orderly manner, including service notes, service plans, and updating of information.
  11. Participate in staff meetings, agency trainings, and in-service trainings.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree and one-year experience in employment counseling and interviewing, personnel administration, or industrial relations, or a master's degree in vocational rehabilitation or related areas. Must meet LAI's Vehicle Operator Requirements. Demonstrates knowledge of local labor markets is strongly desired. Committed to working with people with developmental disabilities and demonstrated ability to market their skills and abilities.

Salary and Benefits:

Commensurate with experience.

Hours and Schedule:

40 hours, Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM

Meetings:

Two staff meetings per month
