Key Responsibilities:
The EHS Specialist will oversee compliance with all relevant OSHA and EPA regulations. You will serve as the in-house authority on regulatory matters pertaining to safety and environmental standards. Your responsibilities will include managing the facility's EHS initiatives, which encompass:
- Conducting investigations related to worker's compensation and property damage incidents
- Analyzing data to identify trends and proposing solutions to mitigate risks
- Leading the Safety Committee and facilitating EHS training for staff
As the EHS Specialist, you will be instrumental in developing and implementing strategies that enhance safety, quality, service, productivity, and profitability.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a safety-related field or equivalent experience
- CPR/AED/First Aid certification; instructor certification is a plus
- OSHA 10-HR and OSHA 30-HR certifications
- 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in safety
- Experience in the manufacturing sector is preferred
- Strong knowledge of safety codes, OSHA regulations, hazardous materials, and emergency preparedness
- Ability to engage with local, state, and federal regulatory agencies
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
