Oncology Pharmacy Specialist
REQUIREMENTS:
Proficient Oncology Pharmacist
Doctoral degree in Pharmacy (PharmD) from an accredited institution or an equivalent Pharmacy degree from a recognized college of Pharmacy is mandatory.
A minimum of 3 years of direct patient care experience in a clinical environment is essential or
Completion of a PGY-1 pharmacy residency is required.
Licenses and Certifications:
PHARMD - Licensed Pharmacist in the relevant jurisdiction is required.
Board certification must be achieved within one year of eligibility.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Engages in collaboration and consultation with physicians, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals to guarantee the safe, effective, and economical prescribing, dispensing, administration, and monitoring of medications in the delivery of pharmaceutical care.
In this capacity, the pharmacist is expected to possess current, specialized drug knowledge and exhibit sound judgment, effective communication skills, self-motivation, and the initiative to influence positive outcomes in patient care that surpass those typically demonstrated by a Clinical Pharmacist I.
Participate in educational initiatives as necessary to provide both fundamental and advanced services of the Pharmacy Department.
Furthermore, fulfill the responsibilities and job functions associated with the Clinical Pharmacist I role, which includes drug distribution, oversight, and non-A^ dispensing activities.
