Position Overview:
The Clinical Pharmacy Specialist in Hematology and Oncology plays a vital role in providing advanced pharmaceutical care. This position involves:

  • Leading the development and execution of clinical programs and activities.
  • Mentoring pharmacy staff to enhance their clinical competencies.
  • Evaluating and processing medication orders for patients across various settings.
  • Ensuring the safety and appropriateness of medication therapies.
  • Providing drug information and consultation to healthcare professionals.
  • Supervising support personnel and coordinating departmental activities for efficient service delivery.

In the absence of the pharmacy manager, the Clinical Pharmacy Specialist may assume managerial responsibilities, ensuring all professional duties are performed ethically and effectively.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an accredited institution.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience as a licensed pharmacist in a hospital setting, or completion of a pharmacy residency is preferred.
- Board certification is preferred.

Licensure Requirements:
- Current Pharmacist license in the District of Columbia or proof of eligibility for licensure.
- Current CPR certification is mandatory.

Work Schedule:
This is a Full-Time position with Day Shift hours, including weekend work as required.

Compensation:
Salary ranges from a minimum of $58.01 to a maximum of $95.66 per hour, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
