About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Manager/Structural Engineer to join our team in Auburn, NH. As a key member of our Bridges and Structures team, you will be responsible for managing and technically leading teams in the design and construction administration of complex bridge projects for public and private sector clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead bridge design projects through all phases of design, ensuring compliance with NHDOT design standards and practices.
  • Manage the development of design plans, technical specifications, and construction cost estimates.
  • Prepare, check, and deliver engineering calculations, reports, and technical studies.
  • Guide and mentor junior and intermediate staff, promoting a culture of quality design and teamwork.
  • Assist with or lead bridge inspection and load rating assignments, and carry out constructability reviews during the design of conventionally procured projects.
  • Develop and present information to clients and the public, and coordinate with clients, agencies, subconsultants, and others to obtain and determine project requirements and approvals.
Requirements
  • Thorough understanding of NHDOT design standards and practices.
  • Strong knowledge of AASHTO LRFD Bridge Design Specifications.
  • Experience in a bridge engineering technical lead role, with a minimum of 10 years of experience.
  • Ability to check the work of others for accuracy and completeness, and manage time to meet project budget and schedule.
  • Effective verbal, visual, and written communication skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience in MicroStation, AutoCAD products, and MathCAD, as well as bridge design and analysis software (Merlin-Dash, CSiBridge, STAAD, AASHTOware, LPile, Group, LEAP-steel/concrete, etc.).
  • Experience with bridge inspection and load rating, and ability to participate and collaborate in project team settings.
