About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Manager/Structural Engineer to join our team in Auburn, NH. As a key member of our Bridges and Structures group, you will be responsible for managing and technically leading teams in the design and construction administration of complex bridge projects for public and private sector clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead bridge design projects through all phases of design, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
  • Manage the development of design plans, technical specifications, and construction cost estimates, ensuring compliance with NHDOT design standards and AASHTO LRFD Bridge Design Specifications.
  • Prepare, check, and deliver engineering calculations, reports, and technical studies, demonstrating expertise in bridge engineering and analysis.
  • Guide and mentor junior and intermediate staff, fostering a culture of quality design and teamwork.
  • Assist with or lead bridge inspection and load rating assignments, ensuring accurate and reliable results.
  • Carry out constructability reviews during the design of conventionally procured projects, identifying potential issues and opportunities for improvement.
  • Develop and present information to clients and the public, effectively communicating technical information and project status.
  • Coordinate with clients, agencies, subconsultants, and others to obtain and determine project requirements and approvals, ensuring seamless project delivery.
Requirements
  • Thorough understanding of NHDOT design standards and practices.
  • Strong knowledge of AASHTO LRFD Bridge Design Specifications.
  • Experience in a bridge engineering technical lead role, with a minimum of 10 years of experience.
  • Ability to check the work of others for accuracy and completeness, manage time to meet project budget and schedule, and effectively communicate ideas, design issues, and solutions to others.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, MicroStation, AutoCAD products, and MathCAD, with experience using bridge design and analysis software (Merlin-Dash, CSiBridge, STAAD, AASHTOware, LPile, Group, LEAP-steel/concrete, etc.).
  • Experience with bridge inspection and load rating, with a strong understanding of bridge engineering principles and practices.
