Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and caring Veterinary Care Specialist to join our team at Northeast Animal Hospital. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing top-notch care to our furry patients and their owners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional care to animals, including routine exams, vaccinations, and medical procedures.
  • Assist veterinarians with surgeries, dental care, and other medical procedures.
  • Administer medications, take vital signs, and monitor patient conditions.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient care and treatment.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, providing education and support on animal care and health.
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure seamless patient care and a positive client experience.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in veterinary technology or a related field preferred.
  • Current certification as a veterinary technician or assistant (CVT or CVA) or willingness to obtain certification within a specified timeframe.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a veterinary setting, preferably in a hospital or clinic environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, veterinarians, and other team members.
  • Ability to lift and move animals safely, as well as work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.
