Job Summary

This position is responsible for providing direct patient care under the supervision of a medical provider in a clinical setting. The clinical nurse specialist will carry out duties delegated and requested by the provider, within the scope of their practice and licensure by the state.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-level patient care and assessment needs, including triaging incoming phone calls, unscheduled visits, and abnormal test results.
  • Handle patient care for one or more age populations, including neonate through geriatric, in a manner that demonstrates an understanding of the functional/developmental age of the individual served.
  • Support the mission of Blessing Health System by demonstrating behavior consistent with the Core Values and participating in the Performance Improvement Process and Patient Safety Plan.
Requirements
  • Education/Training/Experience:
  • REQUIRED:
    • Graduate of an RN School of Nursing
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • PREFERRED:
    • Previous clinic experience
  • License/Certifications/Special Requirements:
    • Possesses a current Illinois RN license and/or any other RN state license required to work.
  • Pay Status:
    • NON-EXEMPT HOURLY
