Are you seeking a fulfilling part-time role where you can truly enhance the lives of seniors? Become a vital part of our team and assist in enriching the experiences of our residents through engaging activities and events.
Key Responsibilities: Collaborating closely with the Life Engagement Director, the Engagement Activities Coordinator will assist in planning, organizing, and executing a diverse range of events, celebrations, and recreational activities for our senior residents. From festive gatherings and ice cream socials to bingo nights and fitness classes, envision a vibrant community atmosphere.
- Foster a welcoming and inclusive environment, utilizing your creativity and skills to bring joy and excitement to our community.
- Assist in creating and distributing promotional materials such as monthly newsletters, calendars, flyers, and posters.
- Help coordinate transportation for scheduled activities and resident appointments, with occasional responsibilities for resident transport.
Qualifications:
- Valid State of Residence Driver's License with a clean driving record.
- Minimum education requirement: High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
- Dependable individuals with the ability to learn, follow directions, and grow.
- Outgoing and sociable personalities are essential – you will be interacting and engaging frequently.
- Creative individuals with talents to share – whether in music, arts & crafts, games, culinary skills, fitness, gardening, or knitting – almost any talent or hobby is welcome.
- Energetic and enthusiastic about working with seniors.
- Background, experience, or passion for Arts, Culture, Leisure, Events, Entertainment, Fitness, and Recreation is a significant advantage.
- Familiarity with the local area and community events is beneficial.
- Basic IT skills are required, and proficiency in design software like Canva is a plus.
