Job Summary

The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) is seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to fill the position of Lead Contact Representative. This role will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to taxpayers, resolving complex issues, and ensuring compliance with IRS policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert-level customer service to taxpayers, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to resolve complex issues and ensure compliance with IRS policies and procedures.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with taxpayers, building trust and confidence in the IRS.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in tax laws and regulations, applying this knowledge to provide accurate and informed guidance to taxpayers.
  • Work effectively in a team environment, providing support and guidance to colleagues as needed.
Requirements
  • 1 year of specialized experience in a customer-facing role, preferably in a government agency or tax-related field.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with taxpayers and internal stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to resolve complex issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of tax laws and regulations, with the ability to apply this knowledge to provide accurate and informed guidance to taxpayers.
Working Conditions

This position is located in Cincinnati, OH, and requires regular attendance at the IRS office. The selected candidate will be required to pass a background check and obtain a security clearance.
