Position Overview

Salary: $26.00-$33.00

Target Audience:

This role does not involve direct patient interaction and is focused on individuals aged 18 and older. Specific age-related experience or specialized training is not necessary for this demographic.

Role Summary:

Under the guidance of the Human Resources Manager, the HR Specialist is tasked with a variety of responsibilities within the human resources domain. This includes executing a range of analytical and evaluative functions, alongside the implementation of policies and programs. The role is essential in supporting the objectives of the HR Department, ensuring that services provided to all employees are both responsive and valuable.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate should possess a Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or a related discipline, along with a minimum of three (3) years of experience in a human resources office environment. Proficiency in computer software, particularly Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS), Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), and Learning Management Systems (LMS) is required. Strong communication skills are essential for interacting with employees, management, and the public in a professional and courteous manner. The candidate must demonstrate integrity, sound judgment, confidentiality, and robust leadership capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute a variety of clerical and technical office support tasks while operating various office equipment.
  • Deliver customer service both in-person and via telephone; manage and direct calls; relay messages; and address inquiries from employees and the public regarding human resources policies and regulations.
  • Handle employment verification requests and other information inquiries.
  • Assist in the coordination of recruitment and examination processes, including notifying candidates of their application status and verifying licenses or certifications.
  • Process personnel action forms and maintain personnel records to ensure timely performance evaluations and appropriate actions.
  • Prepare and distribute orientation packets for new hires.
  • File documentation related to grievances, terminations, absences, and performance evaluations.
  • Participate in the recruitment, hiring, and training of new staff, including gathering applicant information, verifying prior employment, and contacting references.
  • Compile and maintain spreadsheets, such as lists of new hires, terminations, and active employees.
  • Conduct reference checks and background investigations as required by the organization.
  • Organize and oversee new employee orientation, onboarding, and training initiatives.
  • Ensure adherence to labor regulations.
  • Provide assistance to employees on various HR-related matters, including leaves and compensation, and resolve any arising issues.
  • Support the development and implementation of human resource policies.
  • Assist in performance management tasks, including organizing quarterly and annual employee performance reviews.
  • Collect and analyze data using relevant HR metrics, such as time to hire and employee turnover rates.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
  • Utilize software tools including HRIS, ATS, and LMS effectively.
