Core Responsibilities:

At Nucor, safety is paramount across all roles; thus, candidates must exhibit a commitment to uphold and promote safety protocols, practices, and cleanliness standards consistently.

  • Adhere to company safety guidelines and OSHA regulations.
  • Work schedule: 6:00 am - 4:00 pm, Monday - Friday; 5:30 am - 2:00 pm on Saturdays.
  • Inspect, clean, and monitor production machinery to ensure optimal functionality.
  • Conduct routine walkthroughs and visual assessments during operations to identify potential issues.
  • Perform regular inspections of all material streams, including waste and metals, to enhance product quality and minimize losses.
  • Collaborate with Quality Assurance to confirm that products meet established quality standards, making necessary adjustments to equipment.
  • Promptly report any equipment or process-related concerns to the supervisor.
  • Operate mobile machinery, including forklifts and skid loaders.
  • Support colleagues as required.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring walkways are free of debris and hazards. Additional duties may be assigned as needed.
Essential Qualifications:
  • Experience in an industrial or outdoor work setting.
  • A minimum of one year working in a manufacturing equipment environment.
  • Proven ability to prioritize safety and act with a sense of urgency.
  • Capability to operate machinery under diverse working conditions.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
  • Dependable attendance and consistency in work schedule.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime and weekends as necessary.
