Job Summary:
The Production Technician II will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective operation of cleanroom equipment and manufacturing processes in support of the production of commercial and clinical biologics.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform cleaning and sanitizing of primary, secondary, and ancillary equipment in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOPs) and current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs).
- Assemble production-related manufacturing tanks, vessels, and line assemblies in a safe and efficient manner.
- Conduct visual inspections of equipment, supplies, and tools to ensure compliance with SOPs and cGMPs.
- Operate autoclaves and industrial washers in accordance with SOPs and cGMPs.
- Document all activities and maintain accurate records in accordance with SOPs and cGMPs.
- Participate in cross-functional activities and contribute to the development of process improvements.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a safe and healthy work environment.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- 0-3 years of relevant work experience required based on education.
- Experience in a cGMP environment or aseptic manufacturing preferred.
- Knowledge of cGMP practices, aseptic techniques, or chemical concepts preferred.
- Strong math skills and attention to detail required.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate in English required.
- Ability to understand and carry out instructions required.
- Reliable and able to work independently and as part of a team.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to wear a full gowning suit, including bodysuit, gloves, hair & beard nets, face covers, and safety glasses.
- Ability to adhere to clean room gowning requirements, including wearing Tyvek, Nitrile, and/or Latex gloves.
- Ability to lift minimum of 25 lbs. independently.
- Ability to stand, walk, reach, stoop, kneel, and/or crouch for 80% of the shift.
