Job Description

Concept Plus, LLC is seeking a highly skilled Senior Oracle Database Administrator to provide expert-level support for our database infrastructure. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the stability, security, and performance of our Oracle databases.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, implement, and maintain high-performance Oracle databases, ensuring optimal configuration and tuning for maximum efficiency.
  • Develop and implement robust database security measures, including access controls, encryption, and auditing, to protect sensitive data.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve complex database issues, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum uptime.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest Oracle database technologies and best practices, applying this knowledge to improve database performance and security.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation of database configurations, security measures, and troubleshooting procedures.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of database backup and recovery strategies, ensuring business continuity in the event of a disaster.
  • Work closely with the development team to ensure database compatibility and performance with new applications and services.
  • Provide expert-level support for database-related issues, including troubleshooting, debugging, and resolving complex problems.
Requirements and Qualifications:
  • Minimum 10 years of experience as an Oracle DBA, with a strong background in database design, implementation, and administration.
  • Proven expertise in Oracle database security, including access controls, encryption, and auditing.
  • Experience with Oracle multitenant architecture and other Oracle add-on components.
  • Knowledge and experience in administering databases on other DBMS platforms, including MS SQL Server, Postgres, MySQL, and other SQL-based solutions.
  • Strong understanding of database backup and recovery methods, including datapump, RMAN, cloning, and other techniques.
  • Experience with Linux and Bash scripting, with the ability to write and implement custom scripts for database administration and monitoring.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex database issues and develop effective solutions.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with Oracle Advanced Security Option, including Transparent Data Encryption.
  • Knowledge of PKCS certificates and experience with configuring and implementing certificates in Oracle wallet.
  • Experience with applying Oracle security patches and version upgrades to databases and underlying binaries.
  • Experience with Oracle ORDS and APEX components, including installation, configuration, and support.
  • Knowledge of APEX API administrator commands and experience with administering Oracle Cloud Infrastructure databases.
