Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Traffic Operations and Customer Service Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing system checks, monitoring video surveillance systems, and providing exceptional customer service to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform regular system checks to ensure video surveillance systems and toll collection systems are functioning properly
  • Monitor video monitors to identify and respond to vehicle accidents, mechanical breakdowns, or hazardous debris in the lanes
  • Provide safety and security support to CAS and CHP officers during roadside assistance and other duties
  • Manage dispatch duties and maintain a 24-hour log of all calls handled by CAS, including start and end times and service provided
  • Conduct hourly checks of workstations to confirm VSS cameras and toll collection systems are working and report any issues to ETTM
  • Record traffic accidents and major incidents as requested and prepare monthly reports on events and response times
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; one year of customer service experience preferred
  • Strong data entry skills and ability to write clear and concise correspondence
  • Excellent attendance and punctuality, with a strong commitment to providing prompt and timely service to clients
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos, with clear written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Windows operating system
Work Environment

The work environment is typically moderate to loud, with occasional requirements to stand, sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, and walk. The employee may occasionally be required to lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
