The PIIO Immune Monitoring and Discovery Platform (IMDP) utilizes state-of-the-art technology to evaluate the immune system's response to cancer therapies. The Research Associate will be instrumental in the IMDP, concentrating on the creation and execution of immune monitoring assays to bolster clinical and translational research efforts. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with a diverse team of scientists and clinicians to enhance our comprehension of immune responses in both health and disease, particularly regarding cancer therapies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage in the planning, design, execution, and oversight of research initiatives within a shared resource laboratory dedicated to immune profiling of clinical trial samples. Design and perform intricate laboratory experiments utilizing advanced molecular and cellular techniques (such as spectral flow cytometry, single-cell proteomics/genomics, highly multiplexed tissue imaging, spatial transcriptomics, etc.), while collecting, analyzing, and interpreting research data.
  • Conduct thorough literature reviews pertinent to ongoing research, assist in drafting research papers and manuscripts for publication and presentation at national conferences and workshops, and contribute to the writing of project reports, articles, and other documentation.
  • Supervise and coordinate routine maintenance and testing of laboratory equipment, and undertake additional responsibilities as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is required. A Master's Degree is preferred. 1-3 years of relevant experience is required, while 3-5 years of relevant experience is preferred.
  • Successful completion of a background check is required; the selected candidate may be asked to complete a pre-employment physical, including a drug screening.
