MRI Research Specialist Position Overview

The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center is seeking a dedicated MRI Research Specialist to contribute to our innovative research initiatives within the Department of Radiology.

Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate MRI research proposals for feasibility and alignment with departmental capabilities.
  • Offer expert guidance on the execution of research protocols and the effective use of MRI technology.
  • Design and oversee MRI safety protocols, policies, and operational procedures.
  • Employ non-invasive imaging techniques to capture detailed images of anatomical structures.
  • Utilize magnetic fields and radiofrequency waves to assist in diagnosing various medical conditions.
Qualifications

Education: An Associate's Degree or equivalent is required.

Certifications: Candidates must possess the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Radiography Certification, an Ohio Department of Health Radiology License, and achieve Magnetic Resonance Imaging Certification within 18 months of employment.

Experience: A background of 0-2 years in a related field is preferred.
