Position Overview
JOB SUMMARY:
The Continuous Improvement Coordinator plays a vital role in executing improvement initiatives as guided by the Continuous Improvement Manager.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead and facilitate kaizen teams to enhance lean manufacturing processes.
- Collaborate with leadership to conduct kaizen events within the facility.
- Work alongside quality assurance to uphold standards through lean principles, including error-proofing techniques.
- Assist the manager in overseeing the Cabinetworks Group Operating System (COS) training schedule and ensuring completion for all personnel.
- Administer the 6S program and coordinate related activities throughout the manufacturing site.
- Ensure standard work documentation is current and reflective of ongoing improvement efforts.
- Analyze processes utilizing lean tools to eliminate waste, implement pull production, and optimize value flow.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
- At least 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite with intermediate to advanced computer skills.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing methodologies and tools.
- Experience in participating in kaizen events.
- Strong verbal and written communication, facilitation, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
- Willingness to travel 5-10% for training and development purposes.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
- Knowledge or training in Six Sigma continuous improvement methodologies.
- Experience in coordinating and leading kaizen events.
- Understanding of ISO standards.
- Proficiency in Spanish is a plus.
