Position Overview

JOB SUMMARY:

The Continuous Improvement Coordinator plays a vital role in executing improvement initiatives as guided by the Continuous Improvement Manager.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead and facilitate kaizen teams to enhance lean manufacturing processes.
  • Collaborate with leadership to conduct kaizen events within the facility.
  • Work alongside quality assurance to uphold standards through lean principles, including error-proofing techniques.
  • Assist the manager in overseeing the Cabinetworks Group Operating System (COS) training schedule and ensuring completion for all personnel.
  • Administer the 6S program and coordinate related activities throughout the manufacturing site.
  • Ensure standard work documentation is current and reflective of ongoing improvement efforts.
  • Analyze processes utilizing lean tools to eliminate waste, implement pull production, and optimize value flow.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

  • At least 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite with intermediate to advanced computer skills.
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing methodologies and tools.
  • Experience in participating in kaizen events.
  • Strong verbal and written communication, facilitation, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Willingness to travel 5-10% for training and development purposes.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

  • Knowledge or training in Six Sigma continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Experience in coordinating and leading kaizen events.
  • Understanding of ISO standards.
  • Proficiency in Spanish is a plus.
