Position Overview

JOB SUMMARY:

The Continuous Improvement Coordinator plays a pivotal role in driving efficiency and effectiveness within manufacturing operations. This position is accountable for executing continuous improvement initiatives as outlined by the Continuous Improvement Manager.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead and facilitate kaizen teams aimed at enhancing lean manufacturing processes.
  • Collaborate with leadership to spearhead kaizen events across the facility.
  • Work alongside quality assurance to uphold standards through lean methodologies, including error-proofing techniques.
  • Assist the manager in overseeing the training schedule for the Cabinetworks Group Operating System (COS) to ensure all personnel are adequately trained.
  • Oversee the 6S program and coordinate related activities throughout the manufacturing environment.
  • Ensure that standard work procedures are maintained and updated in alignment with continuous improvement efforts.
  • Analyze processes utilizing lean tools and documentation to eliminate waste, implement pull production, and optimize value flow.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

  • At least 5 years of experience in a manufacturing setting.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite with intermediate to advanced computer skills.
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing tools and methodologies.
  • Proven experience in participating in kaizen events.
  • Strong verbal and written communication, facilitation, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Willingness to travel up to 10% for training and development purposes.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

  • Knowledge or training in Six Sigma continuous improvement techniques.
  • Experience in coordinating and leading kaizen events.
  • Understanding of ISO standards.
  • Proficiency in Spanish is a plus.
