Job Overview

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Continuous Improvement Coordinator is accountable for executing initiatives aimed at enhancing operational efficiency as directed by the Continuous Improvement Manager.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Facilitate and coordinate kaizen teams focused on optimizing lean manufacturing processes.
  • Actively participate in leading kaizen events alongside other leadership personnel within the facility.
  • Collaborate with quality assurance to ensure compliance with standards through lean methodologies, including error-proofing techniques.
  • Assist the manager in overseeing the Cabinetworks Group Operating System (COS) training schedule and ensuring completion for all personnel.
  • Sustain the 6S program and orchestrate 6S activities throughout the manufacturing environment.
  • Ensure the maintenance of standard work and oversee updates related to all continuous improvement efforts.
  • Analyze processes utilizing lean tools and documentation to eliminate waste, implement pull production, and enhance value flow.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

  • At least 5 years of experience in a manufacturing setting.
  • Proficient in computer applications with advanced knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing tools and systems.
  • Experience in participating in kaizen events.
  • Strong verbal and written communication, facilitation, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Willingness to travel 5-10% of the time for training and development purposes.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

  • Knowledge or training in Six Sigma continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Experience in coordinating and leading kaizen events.
  • Understanding of ISO standards.
  • Proficiency in Spanish is a plus.
