Position Title: Senior Chief Engineer (ICC-B)

Position Overview: EMCOR Government Services is seeking a Senior Chief Engineer for ICC-B. This position involves supporting the Program Manager and Deputy Program Manager, overseeing staff, and managing the maintenance and repair of equipment at a key government facility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Engineering Supervisor in daily operations.
  • Oversee maintenance activities for site equipment and infrastructure.
  • Develop and manage Watch Schedules efficiently.
  • Guide and mentor Tour Mechanics in their professional development.
  • Collaborate with technical teams on monitoring and maintaining Building Management Systems.
  • Support troubleshooting efforts for all on-site equipment.
  • Ensure preventive maintenance is performed effectively on all equipment.
  • Identify deficiencies and communicate corrective actions to supervisors.
  • Prepare and submit Monthly Reports regarding the Preventive Maintenance system.
  • Participate in meetings with clients and government representatives, providing solutions to site-related issues.
  • Supervise HVAC Mechanics, Maintenance Technicians, Fire Alarm Technicians, and General Maintenance Workers.
  • Monitor subcontractor performance and provide necessary reports.
  • Execute additional tasks as assigned by the Supervisor.

Required Qualifications:

  • Possession of a Class 1 Engineer's License is mandatory.
  • CFC Certification is required.
  • A minimum of seven (7) years of experience in the maintenance and repair of commercial and industrial building systems, including:

Chillers, Pumps, Control Systems, Air Handlers, Cooling Towers, Heat Exchangers, VAVs, and VFDs.

  • At least three (3) years in a supervisory capacity.
  • Ability to interpret blueprints, schematics, and specifications.
  • Practical knowledge of Chiller Plant Operations and Building Air Systems.
  • Willingness to work extended hours as necessary.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Active Top Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility and favorable Polygraph is required.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift/carry up to 50 lbs and push up to 100 lbs.
  • Prolonged periods of standing and walking.
  • Capability to push, pull, or move equipment and supplies.
  • Manual dexterity and mobility are essential.
  • Frequent reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, and crouching.
