Position Title: Senior Chief Engineer (ICC-B)

Position Overview: We are seeking a Senior Chief Engineer for ICC-B to oversee critical engineering functions. This role encompasses support for the Program Manager and Deputy Program Manager, while also supervising personnel and managing the maintenance and repair of equipment at a significant government facility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Engineering Supervisor in daily operations.
  • Oversee maintenance activities for site equipment and building infrastructure.
  • Develop and manage Watch Schedules effectively.
  • Guide and mentor Tour Mechanics in their professional development.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to monitor and maintain Building Management Systems (BMS).
  • Conduct troubleshooting for all equipment on-site.
  • Ensure preventive maintenance is performed on all equipment.
  • Identify deficiencies and implement corrective actions as necessary.
  • Prepare and submit Monthly Reports on preventive maintenance activities.
  • Participate in meetings with clients and government representatives, providing solutions to operational challenges.
  • Supervise HVAC Mechanics, Maintenance Technicians, Fire Alarm Technicians, and General Maintenance Staff.
  • Monitor subcontractor performance and provide necessary reports.
  • Execute additional tasks as directed by the Supervisor.

Qualifications:

  • Possession of a Class 1 Engineer's License is mandatory.
  • CFC Certification is required.
  • A minimum of seven (7) years of experience in the maintenance and repair of commercial and industrial building systems, including:

Chillers, Pumps, Control Systems, Air Handlers, Cooling Towers, Heat Exchangers, VAVs, and VFDs.

  • At least three (3) years in a supervisory capacity.
  • Ability to interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical specifications.
  • Practical knowledge of Chiller Plant Operations and Building Air Systems.
  • Willingness to work extended hours as needed.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Active Top Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility and favorable Polygraph is required.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs and push up to 100 lbs.
  • Capability for prolonged standing and walking.
  • Manual dexterity and mobility are essential.
  • Frequent reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, and crouching.
