Standardized Training Development: Create and implement a cohesive training framework that guarantees uniformity and effectiveness across various departments, focusing on Metals Technicians, Metal MX Technicians, Inspectors, and Operators.

Documentation of Standard Operating Procedures: Gather and document the existing understanding of standard operating procedures, training materials, and protocols for each designated phase.

Enhancement of Onboarding Experience: Refine the administrative structure and onboarding process, particularly concentrating on improving the initial 30 days for new hires.

Resource Identification and Training Engagement: Identify and collaborate with key resources, including subject matter experts in curriculum development and students, to facilitate effective data collection and documentation efforts.

Project Initiation and Evaluation:
  • Conduct a kickoff meeting to outline project goals and introduce the team.
  • Designate leaders for each area responsible for training documentation.
  • Prioritize understanding the current state of standard operating procedures.
Data Collection and Resource Engagement:
  • Assign subject matter experts and students to spearhead documentation initiatives.
  • Establish a format and strategy for data collection.
  • Involve new engineers and appoint a leader for data collection activities.
Training Framework Development:
  • Assess the current onboarding process and administrative framework.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to formulate a standardized training framework.
  • Identify key elements of the training curriculum and align them with standard operating procedures.
Implementation Strategy and Pilot Testing:
  • Create a rollout plan for the standardized training framework.
  • Conduct pilot testing with a select group of employees and gather insights.
  • Make necessary adjustments based on feedback prior to full implementation.
Documentation and Ongoing Improvement:
  • Document the finalized training framework, curriculum, and standard operating procedures.
  • Prepare for the subsequent phase of the project, focusing on continuous improvement and expansion.
