About the Role

Prairie Landworks is seeking a highly experienced and skilled General Superintendent to lead our operations team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for driving operational excellence and people empowerment across our heavy civil and industrial construction projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to superintendents, foremen, and craft personnel to foster a high-performance culture aligned with company values and goals.
  • Develop and empower field staff through coaching, training, and professional development opportunities to enhance their skills and capabilities.
  • Champion a strong safety culture within the organization, emphasizing the importance of safety protocols, procedures, and training.
  • Monitor safety performance on construction sites, conducting regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
  • Oversee the activities of superintendents and foremen across multiple construction projects, ensuring adherence to project plans, schedules, and quality standards.
  • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to facilitate seamless project execution and resolve any issues or conflicts that may arise.
  • Address client concerns or inquiries promptly and effectively, ensuring client satisfaction and trust in the company's capabilities.
  • Allocate resources effectively, including labor, equipment, and materials, to support project requirements and optimize productivity.
  • Monitor project budgets and expenditures, identifying cost-saving opportunities and managing expenses to maximize profitability.
Requirements
  • 7+ years of recent heavy civil and industrial construction experience.
  • Proficiency in project cost and budget financials, progress reporting, forecasting, and project WIP reports.
  • Experience with construction contracts and delivery methods, including design-build, negotiated, alternative project delivery, and time & material work.
  • Seasoned professional with a strong work ethic and a history of working your way up, prioritizing listening, learning, and effective documentation.
  • Leadership style revolves around accountability and coaching, never compromising on moral and ethical principles.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen, background check, and driving record check.
  • Authorized to work in the US without sponsorship.
