Position SummaryWe are in search of dynamic, innovative, and enthusiastic Retail Operations Supervisors to join the Equinox team at our state-of-the-art facilities in Boston. This role is ideal for candidates eager to make a substantial impact within a growing and vibrant organization.
The Operations Supervisor will guide and motivate the sales team within a specific Equinox Shop, ensuring the highest standards of customer service, a comprehensive customer experience, and operational excellence. This role involves collaborating with the Regional, District, or Area Shop Manager and the Assistant Manager on business strategies and action plans to maximize productivity and ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures.
Key ResponsibilitiesSales & Customer Service:
- Achieve assigned monthly sales targets (individual contribution to overall store goals).
- Coach and develop Shop Associates in effective selling techniques, tools, and understanding key business metrics.
- Ensure an exceptional customer experience for all visitors to the Shop and Equinox.
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of all club and Shop services, programs, and products.
Operational Excellence:
- Consistently uphold all loss prevention and inventory management policies, ensuring team adherence.
- Ensure understanding and compliance with all communication and training materials, completing all assigned operational tasks accurately and on time.
- Assist the Regional, District, and/or Area Shop Manager with the hiring, training, coaching, and development of Shop staff.
- Support scheduling and shift coverage in collaboration with the Regional, District, and/or Area Shop Manager.
Product & Presentation:
- Ensure that the Shop and its staff reflect the company brand standards through effective merchandising and marketing execution, as well as adherence to the Shop dress code.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization on sales floors, at cash wraps, and in stockrooms.
Professional Development:
- Build strong relationships and partnerships with colleagues, supervisors, and clients.
- Stay informed about developments and best practices in other departments to foster teamwork and camaraderie.
- Comply with and enforce all company policies and procedures, embracing and supporting company initiatives.
- Communicate effectively and professionally at all levels with tact and diplomacy.

- Demonstrated leadership capabilities and the ability to follow direction.
- Experience in a customer service-oriented business, preferably in retail.
