Key responsibilities include:
- Collecting patient data by reviewing medical history and charting clinical findings as directed by the dentist.
- Contacting patients as needed and reviewing schedules for optimal utilization.
- Reviewing and entering treatment plans.
- Organizing the lab by monitoring completion dates.
- Ensuring each assigned operatory is set up and ready prior to seeing each patient.
- Providing patient education by giving pre- and post-operative instructions, including oral hygiene instructions.
- Maintaining accurate records and reports.
Required skills include dental assisting, digital radiography, electronic charting and records, and the use of digital technology. Vocational training is required, and 1-3 years of experience is preferred.
