Banquet Chef

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Banquet Chef to join our team at Hotel Valencia Santana Row. As a Banquet Chef, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, and directing the work of employees in the Banquet kitchen.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement new menus and meals based on customer demand and seasonal offerings.
- Test and taste all new menus and meals to ensure high-quality standards.
- Brief and train banquet kitchen staff on upcoming functions and events.
- Establish priorities and assign tasks to banquet kitchen staff to ensure seamless execution.
- Conduct physical inventory of food items and order supplies as needed.
- Provide support and training to junior kitchen staff on in-line cooking, food preparation, and dish plating.
- Take direction from the Executive Chef and ensure the kitchen is kept clean, tidy, and sanitary.
- Supervise junior kitchen staff and maintain a positive and productive work environment.
- Verbal communication skills to effectively communicate with the Executive Chef and other kitchen staff.
- Creativity to produce excellent meals and think outside the box.
- Leadership skills to lead a team of staff and maintain a positive work environment.
- Attention to detail to plan menus and ensure high-quality standards.
- Physical fitness to work on your feet all day.
- Organization skills to maintain a clean and tidy work environment.
