ChampionX Research and Development Engineer

ChampionX is a global leader in providing chemistry programs and services, drilling technology, artificial lift solutions, and automation technologies for the upstream and midstream oil and gas industry.

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Research and Development Engineer to join our team. As a Research and Development Engineer, you will be responsible for developing new products and improving existing ones.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop new products and improve existing ones
  • Create and maintain 3D CAD models and 2D drawings of parts and assemblies
  • Prototype, develop test plans, and validate new product offerings through in-house and/or external testing
  • Assist operations by troubleshooting design-related issues, validating, and managing engineering design change requests
  • Work independently and within a team environment
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • 3 years of engineering experience
  • Experience in pumping equipment a plus
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite
  • Able to complete required documentation, including reports and presentations
  • Experienced in 3D modeling and 2D drawings (Solidworks)
  • Must be self-motivated and able to communicate effectively with peers
  • Strong desire to learn and be a problem solver
