Job Title: Electrical Construction Inspector

Job Type: Contract - 1 Year

Work Schedule: Normal business hours Monday-Friday

Pay Rate: $50.00 to $70.00

Job Summary:

We are seeking a qualified Electrical Construction Inspector to support upcoming projects at Stratford Solutions Inc. This position will be responsible for ensuring compliance with electrical codes and regulations, conducting site inspections, and coordinating with contractors and facility forces.

Responsibilities:

  • Schedule and Conduct Inspections: Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and installations to ensure compliance with codes, regulations, and company standards.
  • Coordinate with Contractors: Work with contractors to ensure compliance with electrical codes, regulations, and company standards.
  • Manage Reports and Documentation: Prepare and maintain reports, daily narratives, quantities installed, classified logs, and time and material tickets.
  • Attend Project Meetings: Attend project progress meetings and distribute meeting minutes.
  • Ensure Site Safety: Monitor contractor compliance with the Contractor's Safety and Health Plan and with specific safe work plans.
  • Coordinate Utility Shutdowns: Coordinate utility shutdowns with contractors and facility forces.
  • Monitor Contractor Compliance: Monitor contractor compliance with the approved Contractor's Quality Plan.
  • Minimize Disruptions: Work with contractors to minimize disruptions to the public.
  • Punch Lists: Prepare punch lists with the owner upon completion of the project.
  • Oversee Inspectors: Oversee and schedule inspectors.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree: Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering preferred.
  • New York State Professional Engineering License: New York State Professional Engineering license is preferred.
  • Experience: Over 10 years of experience as a construction inspector.
  • OSHA Certification: OSHA 30-hour safety course certification preferred or the ability to acquire certification immediately.
  • Experience in Inspecting High Low Voltage Systems: Experience in inspecting high low voltage systems.
