Compensation: $50.00 to $70.00 per hour
Role Summary:
Stratford Solutions Inc. is looking for experienced professionals for the role of Construction Inspector specializing in electrical systems. This position will play a critical role in supporting significant projects at a major airport.
Key Responsibilities:
- Organize and conduct inspections, oversee field testing, and manage commissioning processes.
- Assist in drafting and negotiating construction change orders and compiling weekly/monthly project updates.
- Maintain comprehensive reports, daily logs, quantities installed, and time/material documentation.
- Participate in project progress meetings and ensure accurate distribution of meeting minutes.
- Ensure site safety, compliance with permits, and coordination with adjacent projects.
- Monitor contractor adherence to project drawings and specifications.
- Coordinate utility shutdowns with contractors and facility personnel.
- Ensure contractor compliance with safety and health plans, as well as quality assurance protocols.
- Collaborate with contractors to minimize public disruptions during construction.
- Prepare final punch lists in collaboration with project owners upon project completion.
- Supervise and schedule inspections as required.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering is preferred.
- New York State Professional Engineering license is a plus.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in construction inspection.
- OSHA 30-hour safety course certification is preferred or the ability to obtain it promptly.
- Experience in inspecting high and low voltage electrical systems.
