LaBella Associates is seeking a dedicated professional for our Buildings Engineering Division. We are at the forefront of energy efficiency and renewable energy initiatives, aimed at assisting our clients in minimizing their energy consumption and carbon emissions. We are looking for a Construction Management Engineer at the entry or junior level, with 2-5+ years of relevant experience in field construction management. This role is crucial in overseeing our comprehensive energy projects from the design phase through to construction and commissioning.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily construction operations, ensuring adherence to project timelines, budgets, safety protocols, and quality assurance/quality control standards.
- Provide comprehensive administrative support to the Energy Engineering team to facilitate the successful completion of various construction projects.
- Assist in organizing, tracking, reviewing, and managing various engineering and construction documentation, including Requests for Information (RFIs), submittals, shop drawings, and change orders.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including designers, construction managers, contractors, and clients, to communicate project progress and establish priorities.
- Participate in construction progress meetings and conduct site visits.
- Address on-site challenges and manage risks to prevent adverse effects on projects and client relationships.
- Supervise and direct subcontractors effectively.
- Support mechanical and electrical design professionals in their efforts.
- Assist in project bidding processes and contractor evaluations.
- This position requires availability Monday through Friday, with occasional evening and weekend work, and frequent travel to project sites.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- 2 to 5+ years of experience in construction management.
- FE/EIT certification or CCM certification is preferred.
- OSHA 30-Hour certification is preferred.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail, with excellent analytical, multitasking, and decision-making abilities.
- Proven ability to follow directions and work collaboratively within a team environment.
- Familiarity with computer-aided design software, with proficiency in AutoCAD and REVIT preferred.
- Experience with Construction Management software (e.g., Primavera, ProCore) is beneficial.
- Reliable transportation to access job sites as needed, along with a valid driver's license in good standing.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Salary Range: $70,000 - $120,000
Note: The specific salary offered may vary based on factors such as the candidate's relevant experience, education, and work location.
