Job Title: Project Manager - Commercial Construction

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to join our team at Stansell Construction. As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading construction projects from start to finish, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage construction projects, including planning, coordination, and execution.
  • Collaborate with engineers, architects, and other stakeholders to determine project specifications.
  • Organize and oversee construction procedures, ensuring timely and efficient completion.
  • Negotiate contracts with external vendors to achieve profitable agreements.
  • Obtain necessary permits and licenses from relevant authorities.
  • Determine required resources, including manpower, equipment, and materials, while adhering to budgetary limitations.
  • Coordinate with on-site Superintendents to plan construction operations and schedule intermediate phases to meet deadlines.
  • Secure subcontractors for specific trade needs.
  • Evaluate project progress and apply necessary changes to achieve planned goals.
  • Lead the overall project closeout process.
  • Ensure adherence to all health and safety standards and report any issues.

Requirements and Skills:

  • Minimum 3 years of commercial retail construction project management experience, specifically related to restaurant construction.
  • In-depth understanding of construction procedures and material and project management principles.
  • Familiarity with construction/project management software, including Sage 100 and Procore.
  • Outstanding communication and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • A team player with leadership abilities.
  • BS/BA in engineering, building science, or construction is an advantage.
  • Strong PC skills, including MS Excel, MS Word, MS Office, and Outlook.
  • Must have strong knowledge and appreciation of construction safety processes and ability to enforce the project safety plan.
