Patient Access Representative 1

We are seeking a highly skilled Patient Access Representative 1 to join our team at Bascom Palmer Eye Institute - Emergency Department in Miami, Florida. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for registering patients for clinical services, verifying insurance benefits, and collecting payments.
Key Responsibilities- Perform full registration and ensure accurate patient information.
- Verify insurance benefits and obtain necessary documentation.
- Collect payments and reconcile vouchers.
- Answer telephone calls and respond to patient inquiries.
- Adhere to University and unit-level policies and procedures.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in a healthcare setting.
- Excellent communication and data entry skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle confidential information.
