Position Overview: The Director of Asset Management is a pivotal role within Competitive Power Ventures, Inc. (CPV), focusing on the oversight and enhancement of maintenance operations across our power generation facilities.

Company Background: CPV, headquartered in Silver Spring, MD, is dedicated to modernizing America's energy infrastructure through innovative power generation technologies, including natural gas and renewable energy solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and execution of comprehensive maintenance programs aimed at maximizing the availability and reliability of our energy assets.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish maintenance standards and conduct thorough assessments of current practices.
  • Identify and disseminate best practices and lessons learned to enhance operational efficiency across the portfolio.
  • Coordinate with site operations and maintenance teams for effective outage planning and execution.
  • Support initiatives during unplanned outages to ensure swift restoration of service.
  • Facilitate maintenance-related activities in compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Engage with contractors and suppliers to maintain industry best practices and foster professional relationships.
  • Promote a culture of safety and environmental compliance among all personnel and contractors.

Qualifications:

  • Strong organizational and communication skills with a proactive, hands-on approach.
  • Extensive knowledge of power generation operations and maintenance, particularly in combined cycle facilities.
  • Proven ability to manage projects effectively and utilize management systems and compliance applications.
  • A bachelor's degree is required, with a preference for engineering disciplines.
  • A minimum of ten years of relevant experience in maintenance policy development and implementation.
  • Demonstrated expertise in planning and executing maintenance activities and outages.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel as necessary, with an expectation of approximately 25% travel.
