Job Overview

Surge Staffing is seeking a highly motivated and bilingual Online Support Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Online Support team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our clients and their employees.

This is a full-time position located at our headquarters office in Columbus, Ohio. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  1. Respond to customer and employee inquiries via email, live chat, video, phone, and social media channels.
  2. Escalate serious complaints or issues that cannot be resolved.
  3. Liaise with colleagues and managers to find solutions to customer issues.
  4. Identify common problems and suggest improvements to management.
  5. Maintain a professional and polite demeanor at all times.
  6. Obtain and share customer feedback with colleagues and other departments.
  7. Familiarize yourself with new products and services.
  8. Attend training and meetings as required.
  9. Provide training to new Online Support Specialists.
  10. Respect client confidentiality at all times.

Requirements:

  1. 2+ years of experience in customer service.
  2. High school diploma or GED.
  3. Experience using chat/help desk software.
  4. Ability to respond under pressure.
  5. Sound judgment and excellent problem-solving skills.
  6. Superb written and verbal communication skills.
  7. Positive attitude and professionalism at all times.
