Job Overview

The Assistant Project Manager plays a crucial role in supporting the project team at T2 Utility Engineers. This position involves collaborating with clients and design teams to ensure project completion while adhering to quality standards, timelines, and budget constraints.

T2 Utility Engineers is dedicated to providing accurate underground and above-ground utility information, helping clients navigate the complexities associated with infrastructure projects. Our services include Subsurface Utility Engineering, Utility Coordination, and Surveying, all aimed at enhancing project safety and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Organize, schedule, and coordinate field operations to align with project objectives.
  • Develop and nurture relationships with clients to promote long-term partnerships.
  • Prepare necessary project documentation, including permits and specifications.
  • Assist in drafting proposals and support marketing initiatives.
  • Represent T2 Utility Engineers in project meetings and discussions.
  • Oversee project deliverables and correspondence to ensure timely completion.
  • Maintain accuracy and financial integrity of assigned projects.
  • Uphold quality assurance and safety protocols across all projects.
  • Support Senior Project Managers with various tasks as needed.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification required; Professional Engineer (PE) preferred or achievable within one year.
  • At least two years of experience in Civil Engineering or Subsurface Utility Engineering.
  • Minimum two years of experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D.
  • Demonstrated success in sales and client relationship management in the Southern California region.
  • Strong networking abilities to foster business growth and attract key clients.
  • Preferred presentation skills.
  • Comprehensive understanding of project planning, decision-making, and problem-solving processes.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy.
  • Effective time management skills to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Self-driven and motivated.
  • Basic proficiency in computer applications.
