Job Title: Associate Field Service Technician

Job Summary:

The Associate Field Service Technician is a critical role within Toshiba Global Commerce Solutions, responsible for maintaining retail store technologies, computer systems, and peripherals. This position requires a strong technical background, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on retail store technologies, including POS equipment, computer systems, and peripherals.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues, utilizing standard maintenance packages, diagnostics, and reference documentation.
  • Effectively communicate with customers, management, and peers regarding work status, potential problems, and customer satisfaction.
  • Plan, prioritize, and schedule work to meet or exceed customer Service Level objectives.
  • Ensure accurate documentation of installation activities, using automated systems and established reports.
  • Manage and maintain trunk stock to support all customers.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 2+ years' experience in electronic repair.
  • Ability to travel 100% of the time, domestic and/or air travel.
  • Basic knowledge of personal computer technology, network infrastructure, and associated retail devices.
  • Ability to follow written or spoken directions and provide information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Good customer service skills and ability to multitask, prioritize assignments, and work independently.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience repairing Point-of-Sale (POS) machines.
