Job Summary

As a Financial Manager, NA Fresh Performance & Insights, you will play a key role in evaluating the performance of our individual stores and distribution centers to ensure we are maximizing sales potential and delivering meaningful cost reduction and margin expansion.

This is a hands-on role that requires a strong analytical mindset and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

Grocery is a key investment area for the company, and growing rapidly, so there will be opportunities to increase scope and exposure in this role.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with Product Managers, Instock Managers, Vendor Managers, and Operations to optimize Private Brand offerings to maximize revenue growth and margin expansion.
  • Drive accountability across Private Brands by building and leading mechanisms to review performance on a monthly and quarterly basis.
  • Create effective business partnerships, manage competing priorities, and provide guidance based on data analysis during unexpected events.
  • Demonstrate controllership through implementing audit mechanisms to ensure the team is tracking to OP1/OP2 and guidance plans, innovate and automate effective bridging mechanisms.
  • Help to deliver weekly/monthly financial close. Utilize financial systems and advanced MSExcel functions to work with large data sets. Output plans, forecasts, budgets, and consolidations.
  • Participate in hiring, developing, and mentoring peers and team members. Seek and leverage diverse perspectives in all activities.
  • Contribute to work life harmony by being a positive, collaborative, and effective influencer to new team members as an indicator of operations excellence.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
  • BA or BS in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a highly analytical field (e.g., Engineering, Math, Computer Science) and 5+ years of finance experience, or Master's degree and 3+ years of finance experience
  • Preferred Qualifications: MBA, or CPA
  • Knowledge of SQL/ETL
  • 6+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience
  • 6+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experience
  • Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
  • Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results
