Job Title: Beverage Server

Job Summary:

The Beverage Server is a key member of our team, responsible for providing exceptional service to our guests in a gracious, kind, and warm manner. This role requires a high level of attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide prompt, efficient, and friendly service to guests, ensuring their needs are met and exceeded.
  • Take orders accurately and efficiently, using the POS system to process transactions.
  • Prepare and serve drinks, garnishing and presenting them in a visually appealing manner.
  • Retrieve used glasses and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  • Balance server bank and maintain accurate records.
  • Participate in pre-shift meetings and maintain a positive attitude.
  • Provide World-Class Service by delivering Old-World Hospitality with Old-World Charm.
  • Comply with department standards, guidelines, and objectives, including adherence to Food Service and Sanitation, OSHA, and Hazcom standards.
  • Operate the Point of Sale System according to training provided.
  • Have complete knowledge and understanding of lounge and bar menus.
  • Clean as you go and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  • Use chemicals responsibly and ensure all chemicals are in properly labeled containers.
  • Assist in putting supplies away and adhere to 5S Principles.
  • Conduct yourself in a gracious, kind, and warm manner, creating a sense of fondness and professionalism.

Working Conditions:

  • Ability to accurately calculate figures and amounts.
  • Ability to interpret and follow instructions.
  • Ability to resolve problems and conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.
  • Ability to work all shifts, including holidays, nights, weekend hours, and overtime as business needs dictate.
  • Ability to be physically mobile with reasonable accommodations.

Job Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 18 years of age.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Prior food or beverage service experience preferred.
  • Ability to read, analyze, interpret, and comprehend technical procedures, government regulations, business periodicals, instructions, and correspondence/memos.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Maintain confidential information.

Compliance Responsibilities:

  • Attend required training sessions.
  • Obtain required license(s).
  • Perform duties in compliance with local laws and regulations.
  • Ensure minors are not allowed to gamble or loiter in gambling areas, drink alcoholic beverages, or purchase tobacco.
  • Have knowledge of ordinances, regulations, laws, policies, and procedures relating to the Team Member's department.
  • Have knowledge of the Property's programs to address problem gambling.
  • Consult with the appropriate individuals and maintain an effective system of written policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure compliance with state regulations and Systems of Internal Controls.
  • Take the appropriate steps to investigate exceptions, fraud, and potential violations and report such instances to the appropriate levels of management.
  • Report any acts of wrongdoing on behalf of any Team Member that they have knowledge of.
