About the Role

Alera Group is seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Business Development Associate to join their Employee Benefits team. As a Business Development Associate, you will play a critical role in driving business growth and expanding our client base.

Key Responsibilities
  • Utilize multiple prospecting strategies to identify potential clients and consistently set appointments with qualified decision-makers.
  • Develop relationships directly with key decision-makers and work closely with Senior Producers to build a strong network of contacts.
  • Build knowledge and understanding of the insurance industry and learn how to effectively convert prospects into long-term clients.
  • Deliver consistent new meeting activity that meets and exceeds quarterly targets.
  • Leverage existing relationships via referrals to generate new prospect opportunities.
  • Maintain excellent activity records in CRM systems to produce accurate reports and forecasts.
  • Assist Senior Producers in ongoing and renewal client meetings.
  • Manage your own book of business and lead ongoing client meetings while driving new business.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree, preferred.
  • Proven B2B sales and/or business development experience, preferred.
  • Competitiveness and self-drive required.
  • Experience selling to functional leadership in Finance, Human Resources, Operations, or within the C-Suite, preferred.
  • Ability to identify high-potential target markets.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and CRM systems, preferably Salesforce.
