We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Environmental Health and Safety Specialist to join our team at Insight Global. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations, as well as developing and implementing effective safety programs.
Key Responsibilities- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that our facility is in compliance with all relevant environmental, health, and safety regulations, including OSHA, EPA, and DOT requirements.
- Safety Program Development: Develop and implement effective safety programs, including training, hazard identification, and risk assessment.
- Incident Investigation: Conduct thorough investigations of environmental and safety incidents, identifying root causes and developing corrective actions.
- Emergency Response: Serve as the Emergency Response Coordinator, coordinating emergency services and contractors as needed.
- Leadership and Training: Provide leadership and support for the implementation and sustainability of our Behavioral Based Safety (BBS) process, as well as training for staff on environmental, health, and safety policies and procedures.
- Regulatory Interface: Interface with regulatory agencies as needed, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
- Process Improvement: Continuously monitor and improve our safety processes, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as needed.
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering or Science discipline or other program applicable to the health, safety, and environmental fields.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience working in safety within a manufacturing environment, with knowledge of various safety regulations and standards.
- Skills: Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to develop and implement effective safety programs.
