University Hospital's Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology serves approximately 8,000 patients annually across five distinct labor and delivery units in the Cleveland area.

Our delivery hospitals include the main referral center at MacDonald Women's Hospital, along with units at St. John's, Ahuja, Geauga, and Tripoint Medical Centers. Additional facilities, such as UH Parma Hospital, UH Portage Hospital, and UH Samaritan Hospital, provide gynecological surgical services. The system is fully integrated with all major specialties, ensuring 24/7 support from Maternal-Fetal Medicine and Gynecologic Oncology.

The Department is seeking a physician for Northeast Ohio Ob/Gyn . The practice comprises 5 physicians, 2 midwives, and 2 nurse practitioners, offering 5 office locations with potential for growth. Physicians have the opportunity to practice the full spectrum of Ob/Gyn (including in-office procedures) and perform gynecological surgeries at a highly rated, 300-bed hospital. Deliveries take place at a state-of-the-art Level-II Labor and Delivery facility (Ahuja Medical Center) with a manageable call schedule consisting of limited 12-hour shifts. The practice promotes an excellent work-life balance with flexible scheduling and a supportive environment.

UH Portage Medical Center's medical staff includes nearly 400 physicians across over 40 specialties.

Recognized as one of the top workplaces in Northeast Ohio by the Employers Resource Council, UH Portage Medical Center has also been re-designated as a Magnet hospital by the American Nurses Credentialing Center.

The practice is situated in Northeast Ohio, conveniently located approximately 50 minutes from Cleveland, 20 minutes from Akron, and 2 hours from Columbus.

This region is celebrated for its affordable living options, offering historic downtown residences, suburban neighborhoods, or rural properties suitable for hobby farming.

The area boasts an excellent educational system, including several universities and medical schools, along with numerous nearby museums to explore.

Outdoor enthusiasts will find ample recreational opportunities in Cuyahoga Valley National Park, complemented by an extensive local park system and many nearby lakes ideal for fishing, swimming, and boating.


Compensation will be commensurate with qualifications and primary board certification, with a highly competitive salary structure.
