Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Hotel Engineer II to join our team at Marriott International, Inc. This role is responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on hotel equipment and facilities, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for our guests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on hotel equipment and facilities, including plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems.
  • Respond to guest repair requests and communicate with guests to resolve maintenance issues.
  • Conduct visual inspections of tools and equipment to ensure they are in good working condition.
  • Identify and locate shut-off valves for equipment and buildings, and operate them as needed.
  • Maintain inventory of maintenance supplies and requisition parts and materials as required.
  • Communicate with other shifts to ensure that daily activities and problems are addressed.
  • Display proficiency in one or more of the following areas: air conditioning and refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, pneumatic/electronic systems and controls, carpentry and finish skills, kitchen equipment, vehicles, energy conservation, and/or general building management.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent and vocational or technical background.
  • At least 2 years of hotel engineering/maintenance experience.
  • Valid driver's license and Universal Chlorofluorocarbon (CFC) certification.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
