Hotel Maintenance Engineer Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Hotel Maintenance Engineer to join our team at HEI Hotels & Resorts. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our hotel's building systems and maintaining a safe and comfortable environment for our guests and associates.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including checking electrical systems, making minor repairs, and replacing parts as needed.
  • Assist with preventative maintenance and complete report work orders to maintain the hotel's high standards.
  • Service the hotel's pool, including adjusting chemicals and cleaning filters.
  • Maintain the building exterior and curb appeal, including snow removal, lawn care, and painting.
  • Refurbish furniture and fixtures within guest rooms, including cabinets, tables, chairs, doors, windows, and counters.
  • Respond to guest questions, complaints, and requests in a courteous and professional manner.
Requirements:
  • Vocational schooling, military training, certification, or experience in building-related trades, such as HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry.
  • Hotel experience preferred.
  • Ability to climb, read, stand, walk, and lift 25-50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
