Job Summary:

Sovereign Technologies is seeking a highly skilled ECU Defect Management Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for managing all Connected services and other controller/ECU's Critical – Low defects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all Connected services and other controller/ECU's Critical – Low defects.
  • Develop a deep understanding of multiple ECU defect functionalities and impacts and define priorities.
  • Conduct daily Defect triage meetings with Leadership team to ensure quick and prompt actions are taken as the project is in Production stage.
  • Interact with multiple suppliers and analyze defects, assigning them to responsible teams.
  • Participate in Defect Review Board Meetings and discuss defects with stakeholders.
  • Handle defect management activities and coordinate various testing activities.
  • Plan and manage testing activities, including Component Testing, SIT Testing, and SAT testing.
  • Manage in-house Test Results and supplier test results.
  • Ensure project testing completeness and high severity defects are traced and broken down.
  • Prepare Testing and Defect Burndown charts and brief Leadership teams.
  • Gather feedback and work on implementing changes with teams.
  • Develop a good understanding of Infotainment and connectivity features and architecture.
  • Responsible for Bench and vehicle Testing connected features for required projects, supervising, coordinating, and developing engineers and technicians performing and supporting testing in EMUX OTA, Remote diagnostics, Measurement Jobs, Connected APPS, Infotainments APPS, BEV connectivity, and other related Connected features.
