Job Summary

As a key member of the HD Supply team, the Warehouse Operations Specialist will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient operation of our distribution centers. This individual will be responsible for working in multiple departments, including case pick, shipping, receiving, returns, loading, order processing, and replenishment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate material handling equipment to move inventory within the facility, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of products to designated areas.
  • Assist with staging and loading orders into trucks for customer delivery, maintaining a high level of attention to detail and quality control.
  • Verify quantity and quality of incoming products from vendors and distribution centers, identifying and reporting any discrepancies or issues.
  • Use packing list information to collect items for customer orders, including building and wrapping pallets of products, and ensuring accurate and efficient packaging.
  • Examine and inspect stock items for wear and defects, notifying management of inventory issues and taking corrective action as needed.
  • Return misplaced products to proper storage areas, maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
  • Maintain a clean working environment in accordance with company safety policies, adhering to all relevant regulations and guidelines.
  • Perform inventory control functions as needed, ensuring accurate and up-to-date inventory records.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; specialized skills training/certification may be required.
  • 2-5 years of experience in a related field, preferably in a distribution center or warehouse environment.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, stand for periods of time exceeding 60 minutes, and make repetitive movements.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
