About the Role

The Project Engineer will be a key member of our project team, responsible for ensuring successful project execution. This role requires close collaboration with all team members to maintain high standards and deliver exceptional results.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide construction support for MEP systems, ensuring seamless integration and timely completion.
  • Participate in EIG's Environmental Health and Safety Plan to maintain injury-free environments, adhering to company policies and industry best practices.
  • Understand and enforce contracts between EIG and Subcontractors, as well as EIG and DPR, to ensure transparent communication and mutual understanding.
  • Assist the Superintendent and Project Manager in implementing EIG's policies and executing projects efficiently.
  • Organize duties of other Engineers, Field Office Coordinator, Project Accountant, and assigned project staff, promoting effective teamwork and resource allocation.
  • Participate in trainings and company meetings to enhance individual and company growth, fostering a culture of continuous learning.
  • Electronically archive project files for easy access by the project team, maintaining organized documentation and efficient information retrieval.
  • Prepare, monitor, and update project schedules, ensuring timely completion and adherence to project milestones.
  • Collaborate with the Superintendent to minimize project constraints' impact on the schedule, leveraging expertise to optimize project outcomes.
  • Maintain various document control entities, ensuring accurate and up-to-date project information.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • 2-5 years of MEP experience in commercial construction, with a strong understanding of mechanical and electrical engineering concepts.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field, demonstrating academic excellence and relevant knowledge.
  • Excellent listening and strong communication skills, enabling effective collaboration and clear communication.
  • An ability to identify and resolve complex issues, think critically, and make informed decisions.
  • Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite, project management software, scheduling software, and BIM software, ensuring adaptability and technical proficiency.
