We are seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager to lead our IT projects.

Salary Range: $120,000 - $150,000 per year

About the Role

The successful candidate will have a strong background in project management methodologies related to information technology projects. They will be responsible for managing multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and staying within budget.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage IT projects from initiation to completion
  • Develop and implement project plans, resource allocation, and risk management strategies
  • Ensure compliance with VITA's Commonwealth Technology Portfolio (CTP) system and process
  • Maintain effective communication with team members, stakeholders, and clients

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, preferably in IT
  • PMP certification or equivalent
  • Comprehensive knowledge of project management methodologies and tools
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong presentation and interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • CBAP and/or CSPO certification
  • Experience with Team Foundation Server for agile software development and work item tracking
  • Experience with automated testing tools such as Test Complete
  • VITA CTP experience
