POSITION OBJECTIVE:

The Sales Associate plays a vital role in assisting Management to foster a customer-centric and product-oriented sales atmosphere, where our core values and guiding principles are integral to all store operations. This includes ensuring an exceptional customer experience and maximizing profitability. We take pride in our work and believe that our teams make this a remarkable place to work, learn, and develop.

FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Results Orientation

Achieves company sales targets by employing effective sales strategies and sharing product knowledge with customers; recommends merchandise options or assists in locating items based on customer preferences.

Stays informed about current promotions and sales; upholds pricing and visual standards.

Maintains high standards in merchandise handling, presentation, loss prevention, and other responsibilities as assigned by Management.

Contributes to visual merchandising initiatives, including monthly store setups and zone maintenance.

Customer Engagement

Embodies and promotes the Most Amazing Personal Service (MAPS) principles, ensuring a seamless omni-channel experience.

Addresses customer concerns promptly and effectively.

Facilitates a quick and efficient checkout process, remaining knowledgeable about policies regarding payments, coupon usage, returns, exchanges, security practices, and other operational procedures.

Encourages purchasing decisions at the register and meets add-on sales goals, including gift card promotions.

Enlists clients in the rewards program.

Builds and nurtures a loyal customer base through personalized service and wardrobe consultations.

Maintains awareness of current product fits and style offerings both in-store and online.

Ensures consistent communication with clients through the use of a customer book.

Operational Excellence

Assists in replenishment activities to keep the store well-stocked and inviting.

Supports locate fulfillment efforts.

Participates in visual merchandising tasks, including floor sets, window displays, signage placement, and more as directed.

Helps maintain boutique cleanliness and organization.

Team Collaboration and Development

Encourages an inclusive and collaborative approach to problem-solving.

Seeks opportunities for personal growth and actively requests feedback.

Other responsibilities as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

High School diploma or equivalent.

Previous retail or sales experience is preferred.

Must be at least 18 years old.

Strong communication skills.

Exceptional customer service abilities.

Able to learn and adapt to technology provided by the company.

Excellent organizational skills and capacity to multitask in a dynamic environment.

Able to effectively communicate with customers, associates, and management.

Regular attendance is crucial for this role to ensure adequate coverage to meet company objectives. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays is required.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Constant walking/standing throughout the shift.

Occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs. (1-33% of the shift).

Frequent climbing (34%-66% of the shift).
