Job Title: Research Nurse Interventionist

Kaiser Permanente is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Research Nurse Interventionist to join our team in Olympia, Washington.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented individual to work on a CDC research study to evaluate the effectiveness of the flu vaccine. This is a part-time position, approximately 20 hours per week, and will last for 4-6 months during flu season.

Responsibilities:
  • Review EPIC schedules and screen participants for eligibility
  • Conduct in-person interviews and collect nose and throat swabs from participants
  • Administer a questionnaire and collect blood draws from a subset of participants
  • Utilize professional clinical skills and knowledge to evaluate participant responses and make independent clinical judgments
  • Participate in project meetings and identify problems and propose solutions
Requirements:
  • Minimum two (2) years of experience performing professional functions required by the project
  • Experience with individual and/or group counseling and/or facilitation, and related research experience
  • Knowledge of research data collection requirements and specialized clinical intervention/measurement/assessment skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, organizational skills, and interpersonal skills
